This is my birthday week and I saw a shooting star in the evening night sky.
Someone above must be listening because, I need to have my birthday wishes come true.
Since we were children we made wishes before a birthday cake, and I think that its even more important for adults to make birthday wishes, even without ever seeing a shooting star because the Universe is always listening.
My spiritual practice requires that the wishes are no more than three at a time.
Because the number three is a magic number.
As far as the origin of this practice is concerned, legend has it that wishing upon a shooting star makes the wish come true. This belief dates back to around AD 127-151 when Greek astronomer Ptolemy wrote that occasionally, out of curiosity or even boredom, the Gods peer down at the earth from between the spheres. He stated that while this happens, stars sometimes slip out of this gap, flashing towards the earth. Shooting stars are hence an indication that the Gods are now paying attention to whatever you would ask for.
As far as my three wishes they are private but I make the three same wishes, generally speaking.
But what magic and power of manifestation for wish making with the arrival of a birthday, and a shooting star in conjunction with a birthday, wow!
